Mile High United Way

Spirit of Hope Award, Mile High United Way

The United Way Spirit of Hope Awards "recognizes companies that have excelled in a particular area of community involvement.  The award honors organizations that have gone above and beyond in promoting community service throughout their companies and have demonstrated outstanding achievements in one or more of the four categories: Employee Campaign, Corporate Contributions, Leadership Programs and Volunteer Programs.  In 2007 Intertech Plastics ran a campaign encouraging employees to donate to local community programs through Mile High United Way.  The efforts achieved an exceptional 97% participation from Intertech's employees, and earned the company the Spirit of Hope Award for the best Employee Campaign for a Small Business.

 

Goodwill Denver

Outstanding Community Volunteer, Goodwill Industries of Denver

On Thursday, June 12, 2008 Goodwill Industries of Denver, recognized Intertech Plastics as an Outstanding Volunteer in the Denver community.  The award acknowledges Intertech's ongoing support of the Goodwill Mentoring Program, where five Intertech employees mentored students at Montbello High School during the 2007-2008 school year. Intertech's School to Career Initiative, along with Goodwill's mentoring program are designed to prepare teens for real world challenges and opportunities, through education in areas such as decision-making, college preparation, and financial literacy.
