At the heart of Intertech's success are consistent part quality, low scrap rates and controlled costs. Much of this success is attributed to our focus on Process Capability and Engineering. We utilize state-of-the-art MATTEC machine monitoring controls to keep our processes in check during all production and use the data to move toward process optimization. Our goal is to drive costs lower without sacrificing quality.
Intertech Plastics implements continuous process improvement through the use of sound manufacturing practices:
- Decoupled molding practices
- Cavity pressure transfer capabilities
- Identification of key process variables through the use of process capability strategies
- Utilization of (PMA's) Portable Machine Analysis (DartNet) for process set-up and trouble shooting
- Real time process evaluation, monitoring up to 18 individual machine parameters, using pressure transducers, digital time, thermocouple and linear position transducers, through the use of a Mattec monitoring system
- DOE methodology
- Use of in mold reology for determining optimum fill speeds
- GPM checked to insure turbulent flow
- Gate seal test performed to establish optimum pack time
- Continuous education of process personnel on the latest processing techniques using key consistent plastic variables for fill time, melt temperature, mold temperature and plastic pressure.
